Maria Elena Bello
Maria Elena Bello (born April 18, 1967) is an American actress as well as a producer and writer. Her film roles include Permanent Midnight (1998), Payback (1999), Coyote Ugly (2000), The Cooler (2003), A History of Violence (2005), The Mummy: Tomb of the Dragon Emperor (2008), Grown Ups (2010), Prisoners (2013), and Lights Out (2016). Bello was a prominent figure in the world of television as Dr. Anna Del Amico in the medical drama ER (1997-1998) as well with other prominent roles, such as Michelle McBride in the first season (2016) of Goliath and Jacqueline Sloane as a Special Agent on NCIS from 2017 to 2021. Bello was born on April 18, 1967, in Norristown (PA) and was the daughter of Kathy who was a teacher as well as a school nurse and Joe Bello. She also appeared on the series Touch (1997-1998). Bello has other starring roles including Michelle McBride in the year 2016 as well as Jacqueline "Jack" Sloane in 2017-2021. Bello pursued a degree in the field of political science at Villanova University. Bello continued her education in acting in a variety of New York theater productions after she finished her studies. Bello is mother to Jackson and Dan McDermott, her ex-boyfriend. Bello admitted in November 2013 that she was having an affair of the same kind with Clare Munn, her former lover. She published a book entitled Whatever...Love Is love: Questioning the labels we assign to ourselves (Dey Street Books April 28 and 29, 2015).
